Hi xxxx, Thanks for bringing us the issue and I really appreciate your trust to HP. I acknowledge that I don''t know the system of Tsinghua quite well, but I believe that filling a resume in full format as requested by any company is definitely a kind of respect of self and others who are working hard in the project. As I have mentioned in our phone conversation that C and C are the top two languages that HP requires for Software Engineer. I fully understand and believe the learning ability of Tsinghua students you''ve mentioned, but as you could understand, learning ability needs time to be proved and time is the exact thing we are short of under the current situation. Competing for top students are my No. 1 priority today, hence I have no time to test the ability which is hard to be proved. In addition, forgive me for telling the truth, C and C are the most fundamental computer languages and I fail to understand why Tsinghua students don''t pay attention to them in their study, but leave the my.chinahrlab.com opportunity for proves of future learning abilities. Certainly HP would definitely offer opportunities for learning and development to their employees, but the precondition is that the employees should be ready on the basic knowledge for further study and improvement. On top of this, we value creativity, flexibility, integrity, team work and contribution. To answer your queries about the reason of those 8 who failed the pre-screening: (1) I did not find ??? in our system, please check with him/her and make sure that he/she did submit the resume correctly. (2) ?? and ?? stand out with their GPA grade and record of scholarship. The others failed with various reasons, e.g. GPA grade, late submission of resume, programming language, working experience etc. As it''s quite personal, I won''t list the failure reason by person.
