VTI seeks the following team players:

Research Scientist － Fermentation

Supervise pilot GMP production of new experimental vaccines by small scale fermentation, critically review batch production records, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements. Will collaborate with other scientists in purification and quality control. PhD with 2 years experience or MS with 5 years experience in microbiology or biotechnology required. Familiarity with any bioreactor is a plus.

Research Associate － Fermentation

Perform pilot scale fermentation under GMP conditions. The research associate must be able to follow and execute each step of batch production from media preparation through the monitor of cell growth and preparation for purification. Must be able to maintain records and carefully document each step to comply with GMP regulations. MS with 2 years experience or BS with 5 years experience in microbiology or biotechnology required.

Research Scientist － Protein Purification

Supervise and assist in purification of recombinant proteins under GMP conditions. Must be well versed in large scale column chromatography such as affinity, ion exchange, HIC, size exclusion and also have familiarity with ultrafiltration and diafiltration. Must be able to critically review batch production records, comply with regulatory and safety requirements and collaborate with other scientists in fermentation and quality control. PhD with 2 years experience in protein chemistry required.

Research Associate － Protein Purification

Perform purification of recombinant proteins under GMP conditions. Will be responsible for packing and running large scale columns such as affinity, ion exchange, HIC, and size exclusion. Will also be responsible for ultrafiltration, diafiltration, buffer preparation, filtration and allotment of purified product. Must be able to follow and execute each step of batch production protocols as well as document of each step to comply with GMP regulations. MS with 2 years experience or BS with 5 years experience in protein chemistry required.

Program Manager

As head of our Eukaryotic expression program, the individual will work in a team setting designing and implementing production and purification protocols for our GMP facility. Will be responsible for the delivery of product from our existing platforms as well as the development of new platforms for products in the R&D pipeline. Will act as a group representative on interdepartmental projects or programs and will be responsible for preparing technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analysis. PhD in immunochemistry, cell biology or a related field of study with at least 2 years experience in lab management is preferred. Must have experience working with mammalian and/or baculovirus vector-based protein expression systems, preferably in a production setting. The ideal candidate should be a talented and highly motivated individual.

Legal Administrator

The candidate will assist the American attorney with files and documentation and serve as a point of contact between American attorneys and Chinese lawyers. Must be knowledgeable in Patent Law and legal procedure in China. Must be detail-oriented and organized and manage work in a discreet and confidential manner. Master or Bachelor in law and strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
