JOB OPPORTUNITY
Position: Senior Engineer
Location: Hangzhou, China

Qualifications:
• Written and Verbal Fluency: English and Mandarin Chinese
• Ph.D. in Engineering Required
• Prior engineering consulting experience desired
• Ability to conduct an engineering investigation of defective products and determine the cause(s) of failure.
• Clearly communicate findings through reports and presentations
• Willingness to travel as needed to project sites (Mainland China, Japan, Korea, United States).
• Have excellent hands-on and calculation engineering skills

Description:
Exponent China is seeking Senior Engineers to perform investigations of engineering, system, and product failures and problems.

Responsibilities include analyzing a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and materials failures or problems using field inspections, engineering analysis and experimental testing. Additional responsibilities include advising clients on issues such as product defects, product quality, intellectual property, risk prevention and presenting to clients and Government leaders. Products to be analyzed range from consumer products and electronics to complex mechanical systems. Knowledge of any of the following subjects are helpful: circuits, metallography, optical microscopy, SEM/EDS, failure analysis, finite element analysis, non destructive evaluation, laboratory and experimental techniques, or corrosion.
